Your statement is a misunderstanding of the Constitution. It begins with "A well regulated Militia..."

What is a Militia? A militia is essentially supplemental to the military, civil environments and terrorists in uncivil environments.

Being able to answer the question of what a Militia is should be the first goal of any invocation of the Second Amendment, especially as it related to initial intent in the Constitution.
