“Live, Laugh, Love”. The phrase is simply a banal motivational slogan found on coffee mugs at Target and Walmart, right? Live, Laugh Love (or LLL as we’ll call it hereto forward) was the initial materialistic sneak attack in the war of toxic positivity against reality. This initial salvo occurred in the late 2000s, and it’s only a matter of time before the evil forces behind it strike again. Toxic Positivists are staunchly against being a-normal-person-who-has-a-wide-range-of-feelings-and-emotions-and-expresses-them-given-the-circumstance-instead-of-buying-a-FREAKING-pillow-with-directives-on-living-their-life-and-suppressing-emotions. Toxic positivity is the notion that you can simply hold back negative feelings in order to fill the resultant void with good feelings, yoga, and positivity as opposed to substances, social media, and credit card debt like a normal person.
