The USPS is an amazing service. They deliver 44% of the world's mail in volume. There is no other postal service that delivers as much, which tells you a lot because the U.S. does not have the densest population. The United States is sprawling, with many rural destinations. Postal workers are civil servants and one of the best public services we have (because it isn't healthcare).
