The narrative for this show is stange.

Andor had a lesbian couple, but didn't get pannned. Ahsoka had a black female lead and didn't get panned.

The dialogue is stilted. The costumes don't look lived-in. People would rather discuss the fandom than speculate on the central 'mystery' of the show, which should inform all of this show's blandness.

The pacing is weird because of how Disney cuts their shows.
