Before Europeans settled in the USA, there existed cliff dwellings that are much older than 17th century. Western States, such as New Mexico and Arizona house cliff dwellings that go back to CE 750. America has a deep and rich history beyond solely European immigrants, which makes sense because its landmass is ~40x that of the UK.

There are also petroglyph sites that are 10,000+ years old and Native American mound sites that date back well into BCE. Food for thought.
